rest Camp is rustic and uncommercialised. Tame birds and animals are free to come and go and wander through the camp grounds. rest camp accommodation consists of thatched grass beehive huts. Camping grounds area also provided. Guests wishing to spend the evening out may leave and return to the Rest Camp after dark.

The rest camp overlooks a tranquil hippo pool and a nesting colony of waterbirds. The Hippo Haunt Restaurant overhangs the water, where visitors are able to view the hippo, crocodile and terrapins. A legendary attraction is the daily emergence of the hippo from the pool at 15h00 to gulp down seed which is thrown out for the birds.
The camp has a supply shop, a curio shop and a swimming pool. Activities include guided game-viewing by horseback, by bicycle or on foot. Horses, bicycles and guides can all be hired, on an hourly basis.
